    THAT City of Port Moody Municipal Ticket Information Authorization Bylaw, 2020, No. 3218, Amendment Bylaw No. 11, 2024, No. 3440 be now adopted as recommended in the memo dated January 23, 2024, from the Legislative Services Division regarding MTIA Bylaw Amendment Bylaw, No. 3440 (Parks and Facilities Rules and Regulations) – Adoption.

Report: Community Services Department – Parks Division

  • Recommendation(s):


    THAT the report dated January 23, 2024, from the Community Services Department – Parks Division regarding Rocky Point Park and Old Orchard Park Master Plans Public Engagement Phase Two Summary be received for information.

Memo: Community Services Department – Cultural Services Division 

  • Recommendation(s):


    THAT staff work with the Golden Spike Days Society to present the headlining performance on the evening of June 30, 2024, as recommended in the memo dated January 23, 2024, from the Community Services Department – Cultural Services Division regarding Request to Host Canada Day Headliner the Evening Before;

    AND THAT staff be authorized to work with the Golden Spike Days Society in determining the best date and time to present the City sponsored Canada Day headliner for future presentations.

    THAT staff be authorized to submit an application, up to $30,000, to the 2024 UBCM Community Preparedness Fund – Emergency Support Services Equipment and Training Program, supporting the Emergency Support Services team with training and equipment purchases, as recommended in the memo dated January 23, 2024, from the Community Services Department – Cultural Services Division regarding the 2024 UBCM Emergency Support Services Grant Application;

    AND THAT staff provide overall grant management.

Community Development Department – Development Planning Division

  • Recommendation(s):


    THAT City of Port Moody Zoning Bylaw, 2018, No. 2937, Amendment Bylaw No. 81, 2023, No. 3410 (2804/2806 and 2808 St. George Street) (RM4) be now adopted as recommended in the report dated January 23, 2024, from the Community Development Department – Development Planning Division regarding Development Approval 2804-2808 St. George Street (JY Architecture Inc.);

    AND THAT Development Permit No. DP000053 be authorized for issuance;

    AND THAT the Mayor and Corporate Officer be authorized to execute the necessary legal documents required in support of this application.

    THAT a pilot project for Port Moody residents to have priority access to register in recreation programs be approved, effective for Summer 2024, as recommended in the report dated January 23, 2024, from the Community Services Department – Recreation Services Division regarding Priority Recreation Registration for Port Moody Residents.
