Memo: Executive Assistant to Mayor and Council

  • Recommendation(s):


    THAT the City of Port Moody renew its membership in the Union of BC Municipalities (UBCM) and remit the 2024 annual UBCM dues of $15,485.19 as recommended in the memo dated March 26, 2024, from the Executive Assistant to Mayor and Council regarding Union of BC Municipalities Membership Renewal 2024.

Report: Community Development Department – Development Planning Division

  • Recommendation(s):


    THAT City of Port Moody Official Community Plan Bylaw, 2014, No. 2955, Amendment Bylaw No. 36, 2024, No. 3450 (1120 Glenayre Drive) and City of Port Moody Zoning Bylaw, 2018, No. 2937, Amendment Bylaw No. 90, 2024, No. 3449 (1120 Glenayre Drive) (RS1-S) be read a first and second time as recommended in the report dated March 12, 2024, from the Community Development Department – Development Planning Division regarding OCP-Rezoning (Single Family) – 1120 Glenayre Drive (Antonio Vigna);

    AND THAT Bylaw No. 3450 and Bylaw No. 3449 be referred to a Public Hearing;

    AND THAT the requirement to refer Bylaw No. 3450 to the Land Use Committee be waived.

Memo: Executive Assistant to Mayor and Council

  • Recommendation(s):


    THAT the following LMLGA resolutions be amended as recommended in Attachments 1 and 2 of the memo dated March 26, 2024, from the Executive Assistant to Mayor and Council regarding Resolution Amendment Request from LMLGA:

    • Integration of Shelter for People Experiencing Homelessness into Mandated Housing; and
    • Incorporating Tree Canopy and Climate Goals into Housing Action.

Report: Community Services Department – Cultural Services Division

  • Recommendation(s):


    THAT Council authorize the City to enter into a two-year/season agreement extension with the Inlet Theatre Music Series organizers supporting up to eight rentals per year on a cost recovery basis as recommended in the report dated March 26, 2024, from the Community Services Department – Cultural Services Division regarding Delegation Response – Inlet Theatre Music Series 2024;

    AND THAT Cultural Services accommodate this support within their 2024/25 and 2025/26 budgets.
