Report: Finance and Technology Department – Financial Services Division, dated February 24, 2020

  • Recommendation(s):


    THAT staff be directed to apply for the UBCM Emergency Operations Centres and Training Grant funding in 2020 as recommended in the report dated February 24, 2020 from the Finance and Technology Department – Financial Services Division regarding UBCM 2020 Emergency Operations Centres and Training Grant;

    AND THAT the City of Port Moody provide overall grant management for the proposed activities.

Report: Planning and Development Department - Building, Bylaw, and Licensing Division, dated February 21, 2020

  • Recommendation(s):


    THAT Port Moody participate in the Inter-Municipal Business Licence (IMBL) for Ride-hailing as described in the report dated February 21, 2020 from the Planning and Development Department – Building, Bylaw, and Licensing Division regarding Intermunicipal Business Licence for Ride Hailing Companies;

    AND THAT City of Port Moody Intermunicipal Transportation Network Services Business Licence Agreement Bylaw, 2020, No. 3236 and City of Port Moody Intermunicipal Transportation Network Services Business Licence Bylaw, 2020, No. 3237 be read a first, second, and third time;

    AND THAT the Mayor and Corporate Officer be authorized to execute the Intermunicipal Transportation Network Services Agreement on behalf of the City.

Report: Planning and Development Department - Policy Planning Division, dated February 19, 2020

    THAT City of Port Moody Zoning Bylaw, 2018, No. 2937, Amendment Bylaw No. 32, 2020, No. 3239 (RM3 LUC Termination) and City of Port Moody Land Use Contract Termination Bylaw, 2020, No. 3240 (RM3) be read a first and second time as recommended in the report dated February 19, 2020 from the Planning and Development Department – Policy Planning Division regarding Termination of Land Use Contracts at Easthill, Highland Park, Eagle Point, Inlet View, and Sentinel Hill, and Rezoning to RM3;

    AND THAT Bylaw No. 3239 and Bylaw No. 3240 be referred to a Public Hearing;

    AND THAT the requirement to notify tenants and property owners within 140 metres of the perimeter boundary of the parcel associated with the LUC areas per Development Approval Procedure Bylaw, No. 2918 be waived.

  • Recommendation(s):


    THAT the Headline Act for the 44th Annual Golden Spike Days Festival be moved to Tuesday evening, June 30, 2020, with the performance scheduled for the evening as recommended in the memo dated February 19, 2020 from the Community Services Department – Cultural Services Division regarding Delegation Response – Golden Spike Days Society;

    AND THAT the Golden Spike Days Society be reminded that they are responsible for costs related to significant changes in their Festival programming resulting in expenses above the City’s budget for providing support.
